This hazardous waste incineration unit is an integral part of the Nanjing integrated production base of Celanese, a Fortune 500 American-owned company. The unit is designed to incinerate various types of chemical waste from the factory, including domestic garbage, hazardous solid waste from eight upstream units, sludge, waste liquid, waste gas, and other categories, totaling nine in all. Once operational, the facility will support the factory's commitment to green production and the principle of zero waste leaving the premises.
The unit's centralized hazardous waste disposal capacity is 12,000 tons/year. The unit additionally generates 6.9 tons/hour of 2.5MPa(G) saturated steam, which is integrated into the factory's pipeline network.
The unit occupies an area of 32 meters by 97 meters and includes various process units such as a waste liquid storage tank area, solid waste pretreatment and conveyance, incineration and waste heat recovery, flue gas rapid cooling, dust removal, desulfurization, and denitrification, ensuring that the incinerated flue gas meets emission standards.
This project reached mechanical completion on September 30, 2020, and completed thermal commissioning, including furnace drying, on November 10, 2020. It officially started production and operation in early December 2020.
Theory:
A rotary kiln’s body is a long and inclined cylinder that rotates to uniformly heat wastes in a high-temperature environment. During waste treating, high-temperature combustion is employed to effectively decompose and process organic materials and other components in waste. The design of the rotary kiln allows waste to stay in a high-temperature environment for a certain duration, ensuring thorough combustion of the waste while effectively dealing with hazardous substances.
Ruiding has independently developed a rotary kiln that combines all the advantages of a traditional rotary kiln incinerator. Significant advancements have been achieved in enhancing heat exchange and ash burnout rates. The incorporation of high-temperature grate technology has elevated the traditional second-stage combustion chamber to a more efficient second-stage furnace, resulting in improved ash burnout rates and a further increase in the incineration efficiency of the rotary kiln.This rotary kiln system is equipped with a chain-type evaporator that addresses the issue of inadequate contact between air and waste in traditional rotary kilns. This optimization enhances waste heat exchange and combustion effectiveness, prevents slag formation inside the kiln, and significantly boosts both combustion efficiency and equipment lifespan. With a high operational uptime, user-friendly maintenance, and suitability for medium to large-capacity processing needs, this rotary kiln solution offers customers an economically viable option for waste treatment.
